I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Music has always been a part of my life; however, it wasn't until the eighth grade when my true passion bloomed. I found my love for singing while performing in a school choral event. Voice and guitar lessons followed improving my musical abilities.
By the 11th grade, friends and family asked that I record a CD, so I headed into the studio and loved it! I wrote my first original song in school after a math test, basing the lyrics on a situation that left me with bruised feelings. After singing it for a friend, and then my producer, my first original song made it onto the recording list and was soon joined by another original on my first CD. It seemed the inspiration wouldn't quit. Songs just kept coming and soon I had a full list of original songs I'd composed with my guitar.
I received very positive response to my first CD and was asked to go back into the studio to record more of my originals. The project turned into a four-song demo submission for my first choice college in Nashville. I was thrilled to be accepted eight days after submitting my application! The demo also received positive feedback from professionals on "Music Row" during my visit to Nashville.
My plan is to study music business in college, surrounded by musicians. I continue to write and have several new songs waiting to be recorded, and look forward to continuing to sing and write, inspired by the energy of Music City.
